Despite being a virtual organization, the CHWA CESU meets in-person annually to discuss improvements to the collaborative process, host renowned speakers, and vote upon CHWA CESU matters.
The 2019 annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Howard University’s Interdisciplinary Research Building (Intersection of Georgia and W Street) from 9:30am- 12:30pm. Although details are still being finalized, the current draft agenda is posted below:
Directions to campus: https://www2.howard.edu/contact/map(on the map, HUIRB is next to Howard University Barnes & Noble).
Parking: Public parking is available across the street from the research building. Daily rate is $11.
Metro: Green Line, Howard University – Shaw Stop (7th Street (which turns into Georgia Avenue after crossing Florida Avenue). The meeting at the Howard University Interdisciplinary Research Building, 2201 Georgia Avenue, NW is four blocks from the stop.
Hotel information– For those planning to stay over, please visit the Howard University hotel partners website for information on nearby hotels. Please contact your preferred hotel directly to make your reservation. We have not reserved rooms at any of the hotels for the meeting.
