Biographical Sketch

Elizabeth W. North is an Associate Professor at University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, Horn Point Laboratory, where she teaches graduate students and conducts research to support wise use of natural resources. Her expertise is in fisheries oceanography with emphasis on finfish and shellfish in estuaries, circulation and particle trajectory modeling of larvae and oil droplets, and physical-biological interactions in the plankton. She is lead of the OysterFutures project, which recently published a report of stakeholder consensus recommendations to Secretary Mark Belton of Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
