Education Internship at the C&O Canal National Historical Park

Paid Internship through the Student Conservation Association (www.thesca.org) 

Title: Education Coordinator Intern
Location: Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, at 13 Canal Street, Cumberland, Maryland
Duties: Assist park rangers in the development and delivery of education programs for K-12 students visiting the park. Assist with scheduling, special events and education projects including website development and social media outreach.
Term: Mid-February 2018 until December 2018 (flexibility with start/end dates)
Full-Time: 35-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Paid Position: Includes monthly housing stipend, weekly living and commuting stipends
Americorps Education Grant Eligible: Upon successful completion of the internship, applicant is eligible to receive an Americorps Education Grant that can be applied to college tuition or student loans.
Special Hiring Authority: Upon successful completion of the internship, applicant is eligible to use special hiring authorities when applying for federal positions.
